I came to GRRIN as a stray, so no one really knew my past. What I did know is that I had a lot of love to give. I was placed in a wonderful foster home where I felt safe and cherished. But there was just one problem — the word “foster.” That meant this wasn’t my forever home.
At ten years old, with a few medical issues, it seemed like the odds were stacked against me. Still, I never stopped dreaming that someone out there might be looking for a dog just like me.
After eight or nine months, some new people came to visit. I overheard someone say a family was interested in meeting me. Could it really be true?
They invited me to their home for a visit — and honestly, I fell in love with them the moment I walked in the door. That night, I heard the phone ring, and that’s when I found out… they loved me too.
Now I’m thrilled to say I’ve been adopted by the most amazing family. My new mom and dad absolutely adore me. Dad even takes me on car rides — not because he has errands, but just because I love them. I have a big backyard to play in, plenty of soft places to nap, and all the cuddles a dog could dream of.
This is what forever feels like. And I couldn’t be happier.
