Abby is a spirited 6-year-old blind golden retriever mix with a heart full of love and a personality to match. After developing retinal degeneration at just 2 years old, she has adapted remarkably well to her blindness, relying on her excellent hearing to navigate her surroundings—especially when it comes to the sound of treats being dispensed! Initially a foster dog, it quickly became clear that Abby had chosen her forever home with us, as she made it known she wasn’t going anywhere else. Fiercely independent and delightfully sassy, Abby has learned to confidently explore the outdoors with a little guidance. She adores rolling around in the grass, reveling in the simple joys of life. And when you reach out to pet her, she often responds with playful sass, dancing around in a charming display of her vibrant spirit. Abby truly is an amazing companion, bringing joy and laughter to our lives every day.
