Bogie is a very special three-year-old Golden Retriever. He was diagnosed with (suspected) fibrocartilaginous embolism (FCE) on an MRI of his lumbar spine and spent four months at Iowa State University for medical observation and rehabilitation therapy. The condition left him with severely weakened hind legs and the inability to empty his own bladder, so his original owner could no longer care for him.
