21-28 Athena 21-28

Adopted by:
Wade & Cory

Athena has been adopted! We are so excited for her to have a fur-ever family. Stay tuned for her adoption story.

January update: Athena had surgery for an ectopic ureter in December and is recovering nicely, however she still has some healing to do. This youngster is growing quickly and loves playing with her foster fur-siblings. Thank you to everyone who has donated to offset the cost of Athena’s surgery and post-surgical expenses!

This sweet little girl came to GRRIN because she has a condition requiring surgery and it is quite expensive. Her original owners provided amazing care and invested a lot to determine Athena has an ectopic ureter. Translation: she regularly leaks urine and is at risk for regular infections and urine scald. GRRIN’s board of directors approved an expenditure of $7,000 for Athena’s surgery and care, and we will be featuring her in our  November 30th Giving Day campaign.

Athena will have a full recovery after her surgery takes place in December. She settled right in to her foster home and has been wonderfully adaptable to everything she encounters – trips in the car, her foster fur-buddies, and GRRIN events. If you’d like to help GRRIN pay for Athena’s medical expenses, please visit our donation page.

And keep an eye on this page, we will share her journey of healing and recovery!
