My name is Newman, and I’m just over a year old. I was rescued by GRRIN from a South Dakota shelter, where I was taken when my first family didn’t have room for me. Well, the GRRIN volunteers soon found room in their rescue! After making the trek from Sioux Falls to Omaha, I made my way into the foster home of Dave and Michelle, and their GRRIN Golden, Bo. Before long I was alternating between retrieving a ball for humans and wrestling with Bo! My foster home had a pond in the back yard. I made it my mission to put my head all the way underwater and pull up plants. Life was really good. One day I met Sandy and Mark. Right away I liked their energy, and we seemed to just “click” together. They asked if it would be possible for me to become a permanent member of their family. I was torn – I had really fallen in love with my foster family – but I couldn’t turn down the promise of a forever home! Now I’m with Sandy and Mark, and life continues to rock! Fetch is still my favorite activity, but car rides, walks, and sleeping on the bed are fun, too. Sandy says that I’m a bed hog, but I don’t protest very much when she asks me to move over. I’ll always remember and cherish my foster home, but a forever place is all a dog could ask for. Thank You, GRRIN for making me a very happy boy.
