Sammie was surrendered to GRRIN because she was severely afraid of thunderstorms and her owner had to be away during Sammie’s panic attacks. She was very sad to give Sammie up but knew that GRRIN would work to find a family that could help Sammie with her fears. After a short period in foster care, it was determined that Sammie should be in a home where someone could be with her most of the time (doesn’t every Golden wish for that?). Fortunately GRRIN had Cher and her senior Golden, Tucker, approved to adopt! Cher is retired and spends time gardening and spoiling Tucker, so she decided that Sammie deserved the same treatment. Sammie and Tucker are enjoying their new friendship and Sammie has a lap to crawl into during every thunderstorm!
