My name is Abby. I’m 8 years old, and when I was surrendered to the wonderful people at GRRIN, they immediately set me up in a ‘sweet’ foster home until my new mom and dad (Kathy and Lee) adopted me. Everyone calls our match “a great fit.” Now my life is happily continuing with mom, dad, and ‘fur-sister’ Zoe.
Speaking of age, I don’t feel 8. Mom and dad say all the time I have a whole lot of energy and act much younger than my age. I run, chase balls, and jump around! All those things are great, but I really look forward to snuggling up on the couch to get some love.
I’ve been to obedience classes with mom, being the most ‘mature’ pup there. She says we took the class to see what I know. Not to brag, but I know quite a bit and I’m learning more. I just need a little reminding and a little practice. I think the treats are helping my memory! Or, I’m just one smart Golden!
I got to meet extended family in Kansas City over Christmas, sniffing and greeting 3 ‘fur-cousins’ with sister Zoe. (Mom called it the Dog Circus, whatever that is!) I got lots of love and scratches behind my ears and even won a Major Award for “Newest Dog” in the family! It was perfect!
Thank you GRINN for finding me the best ‘furever’ home. We go on walks, play in the backyard, go for car rides, and Zoe and I even have play dates with another fur-friend. Life is golden!
Mom and dad tell me all the time they’re so grateful for GRINN too because they have me! “THANK YOU!” from all of us for making us a family.
