Frequently when a dog enters foster care, they quickly fit into the new home and get along very well with the foster family. In many of those cases, the foster family asks to adopt the dog and GRRIN wholeheartedly supports not having to move a dog again if it’s not needed. This was the case for Miss Lexi! Her previous owner lived in an apartment and Lexi just wasn’t adapting well so the difficult decision was made to surrender Lexi to GRRIN and find her a perfect new home. Lexi immediately bonded with Jill and her son Ethan; after a few months in foster care working through allergy evaluation and treatment, Jill officially adopted Lexi. Jill states that Lexi is very happy in her new home and loves her backyard with all of her toys. While Jill will no longer be able to help GRRIN with fostering, we are grateful that she has given Lexi a permanent “furever” home.
