Hi, it’s me Rocky!! First off, I have to say I’m so thankful for GRRIN! Although I am a Labrador Retriever, GRRIN agreed to accept me and then gave me the best family I could have ever asked for. My new family even let me sleep in their bed! I know this can be frowned upon but I don’t mind snuggling my humans every night ❤️ It’s been over a year now since I’ve been welcomed into this loving home. I have an older brother, Briggs, who is a Golden Retriever. He was the favorite and didn’t want to share his love with … Continue reading
Hello everyone. My name is Lily and I’m living the good life now that I’ve found my fur-ever home. In the beginning I was a little hesitant and shy about everything. You see, before coming to GRRIN and being adopted by my new mom and dad, I had no idea that dogs could live inside where it’s warm and cozy. I didn’t understand that there are people who want to pet and snuggle a dog like me. My new mom and dad have given me so many wonderful things that I didn’t know existed, like going for walks, playing with toys, and even getting treats. … Continue reading
Hi! It’s me Jack (previously Herky)! I went home with my mom, dad, and dog sister Ruby in September 2021. I’m a pretty goofy guy. Whenever my parents get home from work I like to find a toy and run through the house and howl to welcome them home. I also make them laugh with all the silly faces I make. My lips often get stuck on my teeth and it looks like I’m smiling. My parents know that I’m very smart. When I first moved in I showed them that I know how to open the kitchen trash can … Continue reading
Hi, my name is Max. When I came into my foster home, I was a little scared and was having some seizures. My foster mom got me on a regular routine of anti-seizure meds and love. Since coming into my forever home, no seizures! I have became bonded with the resident golden puppy Bailey and now we love to rough-house together. I am more confident in my surroundings and love to lay on the big dog cushion in the tv room and sleep next to mom. I know my basic commands, like come, outside, sit, shake, and, of course, biscuit time. I initially was having trouble … Continue reading
Hello. My name is Athena and I want to tell everyone how lucky I am. When I came to GRRIN I had to have a very expensive surgery before I could be adopted. GRRIN took great care of me so that I could find my fur-ever home. I’m so happy to tell you that I have found the best home ever. My new family opened their hearts and their home to me despite some physical problems that I was still overcoming. One of my favorite parts about my new family is that they have another golden retriever the same age that I am. The … Continue reading
Remember me – Emma Grace, the very cute, but very shy little Golden. I’m not sure why it takes me a while to warm up to people, especially men, but once I get to know you, I will be your very best buddy in the whole world. Well, that is just what happened when I went to meet my new family for the very first time. It took me about 30 minutes before I figured out…this family is really awesome. Everyone was very patient and gentle with me, even Maggie, their three-year-old flat coated retriever. After that, I just became a … Continue reading
Hello everyone! My name is Wally and I am an 7 year old golden doodle! I was recently adopted by my foster parents, Robin and Jim. I had my 7th birthday two days after entering their home as a foster dog, and boy did they celebrate ME! I decided right then and there that this was going to be a great home for me! I am so glad that they agreed! I just love to sit on my dad, Jim’s lap….I think I am a lap dog – even though I weigh 65 pounds! I enjoy a good game of … Continue reading

Hi everyone! My name used to be Pope, but my new Dad changed it to Oso. Oso means Bear. He thinks that I look like a big bear; I am a big white fella. He loves to give me big bear hugs!! One of my favorite things to do is to roll over so Dad can give me belly rubs. Oh, how I love those rubs! I am also a great kisser; if you get your face close to me, I will give you a great big kiss. Besides kisses, I will sit on your foot. Feel special if I … Continue reading
F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S…that’s me…Fabulous Moses. When I went to my GRRIN foster home, my foster mom said that I was just FABULOUS. I did have to work on my leash walking skills because I pulled really hard. After changing my collar to a prong collar, I now walk like I’m in a national dog show…perfect. I really liked staying at my foster home: I had a fur-buddy to play with and lots and lots of toys…the whole family really liked me and they took really good care of me. My previous family really loved me and my fur-brother: we had a great … Continue reading
The Dynamic Duo, Reese and Ripkin, here to say HELLO. We have been together for two and half plus years…ever since Reese was just a pup. We are very close and Reese looks up to me for being her big brother who will always be here for her. We had a great life with our family. But, uncontrollable circumstances happened to our family, and the decision was made that it would be best for us if we went to live with another family. A very nice person from GRRIN came to pick us up and we went to our foster … Continue reading

Duke has been adopted – stay tuned for his “happy tail” story!
Hi! My name is Luna and I’m a 19-month-old Golden Retriever-St. Bernard mix! In December, I went to my forever home with Todd (my dad) and his three kids. I’m a very energetic, playful pup with a lot of love to give…sometimes too much love (I like to lick!). I always prefer to be with my family and am more than willing to go on car rides, walks, and anywhere that they go! When they do have to leave me, I like to spend time with my fur buddy, Loaf. Sometimes I forget that Loaf is a cat and he’s … Continue reading
I have a terrific story to tell you about me. My name is Briley and people say I am the sweetest, senior Golden. I lived with my previous family almost my entire life. We went for walks, car rides, and played in the yard; I loved living with my dad and mom and they dearly loved me. Somehow, I injured my leg and was having trouble walking. GRRIN was notified and the decision was made for me to leave my family and go live with a foster family. GRRIN took me to a specialized vet and my leg diagnosis was … Continue reading
Hi I’m Luka (formally Thor) and this is my new family. With the help of some amazing people at GRRIN we were able to find each other. Some of my favorite things to do with my family are to play catch with my favorite stuffed taco toy, chase my brother and sister around, and keep my momma’s feet warm while she reads first thing in the morning. Oh, and I love when we all cuddle in bed for story time at the end of the day. I can’t wait to see what kinds of adventures we will have as a … Continue reading
After 143 days in foster care, Scout has been adopted by his caseworker! Stay tuned for his “furever” story.
Hi my name is Sasha. Just a long overdue update on my new life in Lincoln. I came to my new home in Lincoln in July, 2021 and I love my new home, especially my back yard! I spend lots of time there bird watching, sniffing good smells, and (best of all) napping. Old girls like me need our beauty rest. My new mom and dad give me lots of pets and scratches and let me sleep wherever I like. My vet says I’m in really good shape for a true senior (14 now) like me. Mom and dad say … Continue reading
Gunner and Reagan are home!! We were so happy to join our new family, which includes our mom and dad (Clayton and Keegan) and our new fur sibling Finn! We are all getting along great and together we enjoy lots of walks around the neighborhood, playing fetch with the tennis ball, and of course, taking naps on the couch. We felt at home right away and have already learned a few tricks like sitting, staying, and walking on a leash. We continue to work on our obedience skills and have a trainer helping us! Thank you to everyone at GRRIN … Continue reading

Betsy’s forever family started fostering her and her brother, Charlie 21-10, at the end of July 2021. They were two of four VERY special Goldendoodle puppies who came into GRRIN rescue. This quartet (which includes Millie 21-11 and Frank 21-12) has had an amazing journey after being surrendered to GRRIN at a very young age when it was discovered they were blind from birth. It was clear almost from the beginning these pups were destined and determined to be normal, active, loving, and well-adjusted dogs who needed a bit of extra training and attention. At first, Betsy seemed a little … Continue reading
Hi! Millie here! I am one of the four blind Goldendoodle puppies who were surrendered to GRRIN. I really don’t know that I am blind, because you know, I can see with my heart! I was in the best foster home with my brother Franklin. I learned so much from my foster mom and dad and foster sister Ruby. Best of all, I learned how to snuggle! On September 22nd, I got adopted by my furever mom and dad, and I am going to learn so much more as I get older. I am mom’s emotional support service dog. I … Continue reading
Update on Charlie 21-10: As one of four blind Goldendoodle puppies surrendered to GRRIN in 2021, he continues to do just great. His forever family calls him an absolute delight! He’s learning commands, walking well on-leash, and getting the hang of all the ins and out of being a more grown-up dog having just hit eight months old. Charlie has also become a good traveler since he gets to winter in Texas with his family, including their resident Golden Retriever, Abby. We’re told he loves meeting people on walks, knows everyone, and has made tons of friends. He is … Continue reading
Hi, I am Franklin (Frank), and I am one of the four blind goldendoodle puppies who were surrendered to GRRIN. My dad knew that mommy’s dream dog had always been a golden doodle (mommy always wanted to therapy train a goldendoodle, so she could take it to school with her each day). My dad also knew that if he told mommy about me, a goldendoodle who was born blind, that she would never be able to say no to me. My mommy is a special education teacher, so adopting a dog with special needs holds such a special place in … Continue reading
